Description
Now & Then: The Appalachian Magazine, Volume 07, Issue 03, published in 1990. The theme of this issue is Activism in Appalachia. This issue documents grassroots organizing and social movements across Appalachia through features on the Pittston coal strike, labor struggles, missionary work, and community leadership. Through personal profiles, stories, poetry, and reviews, it highlights collective efforts to challenge economic injustice, advocate for workers' rights, and reshape power structures within Appalachian communities.
