This chapter reviews the philosophy, targets, structure, and effective elements and components that should be present in any anti-bullying program. To provide a framework for discussion, the authors dissect and discuss the Bully Free Program (www.bullyfree.com), the most comprehensive anti-bullying program being adopted by schools and districts around the United States. It includes strategies (administrative and classroom based) and curriculum which address all of the elements and components that must be present. Some of its materials are available in eight languages and is being used around the world.
