Description

A theoretical investigation of the capacitive coupling between a round, flat NMR surface coil and a dielectric medium is presented. The change in coil self-capacitance produced by the presence of the medium is calculated. These calculated results are compared with those observed experimentally in a series of NMR surface coils.
