Description
Attention needs to be directed to the psychologic as well as physical symptoms that accompany spontaneous abortion. It is now recognized that patients may experience intense feelings of grief, helplessness, guilt and anger after spontaneous abortion. Acknowledging the patient's loss and providing support during the grieving process will help patients and families cope with spontaneous abortion.
