Description

An overview of related courses that are used in computer graphics at East Tennessee State University is presented. The program has an integrated approach in that the basic concepts are introduced in the 'Introduction to Computer Science' course by programming projects that produce elementary drawings on a line printer. This fundamental knowledge base is developed further in the outlined course 'Data Structures. ' These two courses are prerequisites for further study in computer graphics. The courses entitled 'Interactive Computer Graphics,' 'Digital Image Processing,' and 'Database Management' are specialized courses that provide the student with extensive information, practical applications, and hands-on experience in complex computer graphics programming and the management of graphics structures.
