Short Abstract

This study aims to assess the familiarity with opioid overdoses, naloxone confidence, and stigma regarding substance use in college populations. Participants will be given a pre-survey, educational presentation and then a post survey. The answers will then be compared to determine the success of the education in these areas. Overdoses from opioids in Appalachia have drastically increased in the last decade. Naloxone education is paramount in reducing deaths and complications from excessive opioid use outside of a hospital setting.
