Abstract or Artist's Statement
A systematic study of the apparent structure of galaxies is crucial to understanding more about their nature and evolution. We use Galaxy Zoo citizen scientist volunteer spiral arm masks to classify galaxies by the number of spiral arms and compare the results with other data sets and past Galaxy Zoo data. We conclude that using using Galaxy Zoo arm masks for arm counts gives consistent results with earlier studies.
