Description
The Undergraduate Curriculum Council met virtually on September 10, 2025, to review committee updates, discuss curriculum processes, and consider program revisions. Announcements included membership updates, leadership changes in Early Childhood Education following Pam Evanson’s retirement, and revisions to curriculum forms that combined the Academic Justification and Course Purpose sections, streamlined substantive revision requirements, and introduced plans for future dropdown‑based forms and a Curriculum Innovation Center workshop to support faculty with deadlines, prerequisites, and embedded minors. The council also confirmed upcoming meeting dates and agenda deadlines. The primary action item involved approving a non‑substantive program revision to the Military Science minor, specifically the removal of the unused non‑commissioning option; discussion confirmed no students were currently enrolled in that track, and all future students must pursue the commissioning pathway. The proposal met all university criteria for consistency, value, and learning outcomes, and it passed unanimously before advancing through Curriculog. With no further business, the meeting adjourned at approximately 3:40 p.m.
