Abstract

Up The Gravel Path: Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts, curated by faculty member Lindsay Rogers will be on display at Slocumb Galleries through October 19. A reception will be held on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Slocumb Galleries with the Arrowmont Panel starting at 6 p.m. in Ball Hall Auditorium. Guests of honor include Krishna Adams, Director of Craft, Visual Arts & Media, TAC and Bill May, Director, Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts.

Studio craft and art demostrations will be held on October 9 & 10. There will be a metals demo by Everett Hoffman on Tuesday, October 9 in the metals studio in Ball Hall, room B06 from11:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a demo on forming and surfacing ceramics by Stephanie Wilhelm and Kari Woolsey on Tuesday, October 9 in the ceramics studio at the Art Annex from 11:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. A digital weaving demo by Sasha Baskin will be held on Wednesday, October 10 in the fibers studio, Ball Hall 427 / 419 at 1:40 p.m. A body and visual language demo by Alyssa Coffin will take place on Wednesday, October 10 at the CORE Studio in the Campus Center Building, room 209 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
