Abstract
Members of the ETSU family are wrestling with emotions as we all search for answers, guidance and change. Please reach out, ask for help and do not hesitate to share how you are feeling. Only through sharing emotions and dialog can we find empathy, healing and peace.
Below is a list of support resources available to our ETSU family:
- Counseling Center

The Counseling Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
BucsPress2 mental health helpline is available 24/7 for students at 423-439-4841 then press 2.
Anti-Racism resources and additional specific African-American and Black Mental Health resources are available on the Counseling Center website.

- Buccaneer Student Crisis Fund
The Buccaneer Student Crisis Fund, a private donation fund, was created in 2019 to provide financial assistance to currently enrolled ETSU students who are experiencing an unexpected loss or hardship that could affect their ability to remain at ETSU. These funds will be distributed through an application process that students can initiate by submitting a care report.
- Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to faculty and staff members who need counseling support and referral to other resources.
Students are invited to attend A Guided Conversation on Racial Justice in America on Thursday, June 4 at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom. Registration is required. For more information, visit the Mary V. Jordan Multicultural Center website.
