Abstract

The graduation ceremony for ETSU Family Medicine Johnson City was held on Friday, June 19, 2020.

Dr. Brian Earley, Program Director, opened the ceremony and introduced Dr. Reid Blackwelder, Department Chair, to offer sentiments to the graduates. Graduates were later recognized with special video presentations from Dr. Wilsie Bishop, Vice President for Academics and Interim Provost, and Dr. William Block, Vice President for Clinical Affairs and Dean of Quillen College of Medicine.

Dr. Amit Patel and Dr. Benjamin Whitfield were recognized for serving as Chief Residents.

Special awards were presented, followed by the awarding of diplomas to the residency graduates.

Outstanding Resident: Dr. Amit Patel, MD 

STFM Resident Teacher: Dr. Erin Dennis, DO 

Outstanding Faculty: Dr. Jim Holt, MD 

Attending of the Year: Dr. David Kirschke, MD 

Clinical Staff Member of the Year: Millie Wycoff 

Non-clinical Staff Member of the Year: Patti Espinoza
