Abstract

JOHNSON CITY – East Tennessee State University’s Bluegrass, Old Time and Country Music Studies program will host five nights of music at the Down Home in Johnson City from Nov. 30-Dec. 5.

These end-of-semester performances kick off with the Country Band Showcase on Friday, Nov. 30.  A mixture of different bluegrass, old-time and Celtic bands will take the stage on Saturday, Dec. 1, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 4-5.  Bands led by students doing their capstone projects in band leadership will perform on Monday, Dec. 3.

Shows begin at 7 p.m. each night at the Down Home, located at 300 W. Main Street.  Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for students with ID.
