Automated Manufacturing Systems: A Challenge to Higher Education
Recent trends in automation are promising to make the factory environment of the future a highly demanding one. This paper examines the role of higher educational institutions in preparing students to function within such automated environments. Two frameworks are presented to facilitate the accomplishment of this objective, both within an institution, and between different institutions.
